The plot is simple, or so it seems. An orphan turned monastery cook, Ignacio works hard to feed the orphans of a Franciscan Mission. However, when a beautiful Sister Encarnación comes to teach the orphans, and a frenzied street-dweller steals the precious tortilla chips, Ignacio must don the mask and become Nacho, a luchador extraordinaire. In order to train to become a luchador, Nacho seeks help from the thief Esqueleto, who also turns from a thief to luchador.

The soundtrack complemented the humor, combining random Spanish/English chants to a catchy beat and tune. Jack Black¡¯s ridiculously funny looking stretchy pants outfit of Nacho, and his partner Esqueleto steals the scene just by the major contrast in weight and his random yet well timed lines. Arguably the best part of the movie is the dating sequence where Nacho tries to woo over Encarnación by wearing expensive clothes and planning to fight bad people on the street, supplied by his sidekick Esqueleto.
